New Life Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 60-53 to Crosspoint Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Life Christian in their matchups with Crosspoint Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, St. Louis HomeSchool P came tearing into Saturday's match with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Heritage Classical Christian Academy 62-44.
St. Louis HomeSchool P got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was AJ Stanley, Jr. out in front who scored 20 points along with two steals. Stanley, Jr. has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Stanley Rages was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine assists and nine rebounds.
New Life Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
New Life Christian took a serious blow against St. Louis HomeSchool P when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 61-12. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point New Life Christian was down 45-6.
