The Ferguson Falcons will head out to challenge the Palmetto Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ferguson, who comes in off a win.
Ferguson barely beat Hialeah Gardens the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Ferguson was the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Hialeah Gardens on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Ferguson got a great performance from Damian Galera as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Furthermore, Galera didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Alfonso, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Anthony Giz, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Ferguson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Palmetto came up short against Braddock on Wednesday, falling 18-8. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Palmetto got a big performance out of Johnny Montes, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Sebastian Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Ferguson, their record now sits at 5-6-1.
Palmetto's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ferguson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. It's a different story for Palmetto, though, as they've only averaged .341. Will they be able to contain Ferguson's hitters?
Ferguson suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Palmetto in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Ferguson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
