The Greenhill Hornets were the 55-52 winner over the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Sweeney, who scored 12 points. Ava Batty was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Greenhill are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-6. As for Midlothian Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Greenhill is on the road again on Friday and play against Sherman at 6:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Midlothian Heritage and Cleburne will face off at 1:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cleburne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Midlothian Heritage is ranked 178th).
