Excelsior Charter extended the longest winning streak in Agape (8 Man) this week by beating Upland Christian Academy, 75-26. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Eagles.
California Lutheran and Lucerne Valley played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with California Lutheran eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory. Noah Schriefer ran for 140 yards and caught one passes for 32 yards in the win.
Excelsior Charter's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Darren Corbn threw for 50 and two touchdowns and Aubrey Merritt had 50 yards receiving. On the ground Kyle Washington chipped in 154 yards.
The Mustangs' Daniel Stratton and Lonye Logan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stratton has thrown for 1069 yards this season, while Logan, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 24 catches for 471 yards. Bill Rivera's team's Washington leads the league in rushing yards with 1039.
The Eagles led Agape (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 75 points on the Eagles. Corbn ran for 61 yards in the win.
