V Section I recap September 17, 2013
Roland Becenti and Brandon Troglia provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Many Farms. The connection was good for 80 yards, the longest such play in V Section I this season.
Tuba City's Brenton Goldtooth recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Lobos last week. Goldtooth's team beat Many Farms as he sprinted for 65 yards on the play and finished with 195 in all.
Tuba City's Becenti and Troglia have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Becenti has thrown for 481 yards this season, while Troglia has 8 catches for 222 yards. Hopi's Blake Sekaquaptewa leads the league in rushing yards with 707.
A big matchup in V Section I this week will be when Rough Rock takes on Greg Mooring's team. At the moment, the Sun Devils are in fifth, while the Warriors are in second.
Tuba City was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Warriors defeated John Willie's team 61-0.
