Sunset is a perfect 10-0 against Aloha since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Apollos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Sunset is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Sunset is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Canby, who was ranked 24th at the time (Sunset was ranked 22nd). The Apollos came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-1 on Friday.

Riley Via

| 03/23/26 @ South Medford | 1 |
| 03/19/26 @ West Linn | 1 |
Riley Via spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Liam Heaphy was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those runs were his first of the season. Parker Raubuch was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Sunset hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canby struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Aloha fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Ridgeview on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 4-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Achilles Garcia put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run.
In other pitching news, Bodie McNeil was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.
Garcia wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dom Mattie, who went 2-for-5 with one RBI.
Sunset's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Aloha, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Sunset got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Aloha by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Apollos repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
