Baseball Recap: Warren Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Warren Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 win the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Maddox Lynch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hayes Loper was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Ryan Steed was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Warren Central's record is now 14-9. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-8.

Warren Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Vicksburg on the 15th. St. Andrew's Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
