The Columbus Cardinals waltzed into their matchup Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They walked away with a 36-25 victory over Moulton.
Columbus got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karlee Mathis out in front who scored 13 points. Anaya Gardner was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Columbus is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Moulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will take on Hallettsville at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Moulton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Ganado at 2:15 p.m. on January 2nd. Hopefully Ganado focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
