Shorecrest Prep came into Tuesday's match having lost 14 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder 25-22. The Chargers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Out-of-Door Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bertie Bryson posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Bryson is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaby Bichanich, who put up seven points and six steals.

Shorecrest Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Shorecrest Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-27 loss against Santa Fe Catholic on the 13th. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-33 defeat against Cambridge Christian on the 12th.
