A well-balanced attack led the Service Cougars over the Eagle River Wolves in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Service blew Eagle River out of the water with a 55-28 final score. Service pushed the score to 45-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Eagle River had little chance of recovering from.
Service's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karlierose Lealaisalanos, who scored 17 points. When it comes to explaining why Eagle River lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brooklyn Rollman. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
The win made it two in a row for Service and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Eagle River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Service won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grace Christian at 8:15 p.m. on February 9th.
