Scottsdale Christian Academy have to be aching after a bruising 20-49 defeat to Arizona Lutheran Academy last Friday. Scottsdale Christian Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-35.
Meanwhile, ASU Prep have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were fully in charge, breezing past Heritage Academy 48-0. ASU Prep were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
ASU Prep's victory lifted them to 1-5 while Scottsdale Christian Academy's loss dropped them down to 4-2. In their win, ASU Prep relied heavily on sophomore Gabe Landas, who threw 3 TDs. Scottsdale Christian Academy will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
