The Stockton Tigers have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern Valley on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Stockton came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Northern Valley is ranked 307th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northern Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrey Bina, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Delaney Sides, who scored 13 points.
Stockton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Northern Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stockton will take on Pike Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pike Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Northern Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Western Plains at 6:00 p.m. Western Plains has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
