Perry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lexenna Lee led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Lee hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Khaliah Luster was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Lima Central Catholic was the victim of a tough 46-26 defeat at the hands of Northwood on Wednesday. Perry's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lima Central Catholic, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Things could have been worse for Perry, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-31 loss to Lima Central Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Perry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
