Pennsauken Tech were the 76-38 winner over the LEAP Academy Lancers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pennsauken Tech suffered a rough 49-23 defeat at the hands of the Lancers on Wednesday.
Despite the defeat, Pennsauken Tech had strong showings from Omari Spencer, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds, and Jahseem Branch, who scored four points along with two steals. Spencer has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.
Pennsauken Tech has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for LEAP Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pennsauken Tech will challenge the Foxes at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Moorestown Friends is on a six-game streak of home losses, the a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for LEAP Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
