James Island had a senior duo take command as Andrea Duncan scored 28 points along with three steals and Alaina Graf scored 22 points along with six rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Duncan has scored at least 25% of James Island's points.
Ashley Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dianna Blake, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. Kaylin Brown was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
James Island's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Ashley Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
