Lower Richland posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by Swansea at home to the tune of 50-14. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-11.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lower Richland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jhnai Sumter, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Sumter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Chi?nya Isaac was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two blocks.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for Lower Richland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson took a serious blow against Lower Richland in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 59-29.
