After a string of four wins, the Rochester School for the Deaf Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They fell just short of Varsity Opponent by a score of 31-29. Rochester School for the Deaf was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Rochester School for the Deaf's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Christenson, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Ashley Stuhlberg, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Rochester School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Varsity Opponent, their win bumped their record up to 133-475.
Rochester School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Varsity Opponent, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crockett Tech on February 12th. Varsity Opponent is coming into the contest with six straight victories on the road, so Crockett Tech is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
