The New Hope-Solebury Lions will take on the Glenwood Springs Demons at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Hope-Solebury will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, New Hope-Solebury made easy work of Bristol and carried off an 8-1 win. Fans of the Lions have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
John Whelan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Blake McCagg was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. McCagg is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Rickard, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Glenwood Springs got themselves on the board against North Shore Country Day on Monday, but North Shore Country Day never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.
Jamison Godfread made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Glenwood Springs let Jackson Irving and Josh Doll run wild. Irving scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Doll went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Doll has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Evan Neuman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Glenwood Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Shore Country Day only posted an OBP of .062.
Glenwood Springs now has a winning record of 2-1. As for New Hope-Solebury, their record is now 3-0.
Glenwood Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: New Hope-Solebury hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .378.
