The Sandusky Blue Streaks waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 69-50 win over Madison Comprehensive. Given Sandusky's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Rams are ranked 639th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sandusky's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aazoriyon Bonner, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bonner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Aaron, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Sandusky pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points per game. As for Madison Comprehensive, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandusky will take on the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Perkins will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Madison Comprehensive, they will head out on the road to take on the Arrows at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
