The Coastal Christian Centurions won the last time they faced the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Coastal Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over Wake Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Coastal Christian.
It was another big night for Aidan Davies, who scored 28 points. Another player making a difference was George Robertson, who scored nine points.
Beckett Coon and Brady Williams certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Coon scored 17 points along with three steals, while Williams scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Sully Caruso was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Coastal Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Wake Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal Christian will take on Liberty Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 480th, while Coastal Christian is ranked 73rd). Wake Christian Academy and Raleigh HomeSchool will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Raleigh HomeSchool comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
