Having just played yesterday, the Sierra Linda Bulldogs will jump right back in to play the Goldwater Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Linda is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-25, which was the final score in Sierra Linda's tilt against Estrella Foothills on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Sierra Linda can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Estrella Foothills is ranked ninth).
Meanwhile, Goldwater was beaten by Sahuaro 64-9 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Goldwater has scored all season.
Sierra Linda's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Goldwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Sierra Linda against Goldwater in their previous meeting back in December of 2014 as the squad secured a 49-12 victory. Does Sierra Linda have another victory up their sleeve, or will Goldwater turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
