They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hillsdale Falcons on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Golden Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.
Waynedale took Hillsdale into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 27-25, 18-25, 17-25, 16-14.
Callie Wolfe paced Waynedale's offense, picking up 26 kills. Wolfe got some help from Sydnee Beckler and her 44 assists. Wolfe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Waynedale's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Hillsdale, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12.
Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Waynedale and Dalton will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. Hillsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
