Basketball Recap: Antelope Skates Past Cordova with Ease

Antelope won the last time they faced Cordova and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Antelope Titans claimed a resounding 64-21 victory over the Cordova Lancers. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Antelope found their leader in sophomore Ezrah Kaheaku, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Those seven steals gave Kaheaku a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andre Brooks, who posted ten points and three steals.

Antelope smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups.

Antelope is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Cordova, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-20.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will head out to square off against Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Antelope is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.5 points per game this season. As for Cordova, they will venture away from home to take on Destiny Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Destiny Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Cordova likes a good challenge.
