The Eastbrook Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Mississinewa by a score of 41-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastbrook also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Eastbrook had a senior duo take command as Sophia Morrison scored 20 points along with 4 steals and Olivia Howell scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Morrison has scored at least 25% of Eastbrook's points.
Eastbrook has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 6-0 record. As for Mississinewa, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastbrook will take on Norwell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Norwell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Eastbrook likes a good challenge. As for Mississinewa, they will head out on the road to face off against Southwood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Southwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Wednesday.
