Elk Grove took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cosumnes Oaks on Friday. Elk Grove has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Elk Grove's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Hargrave, who scored 19 points along with two steals, and Liam Acido who scored 11 points along with four blocks. KyRee Fultz was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Cosumnes Oaks can attribute much of their success to Ny?j Joiner, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jackson Trayham, who scored six points.
Elk Grove's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Elk Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jesuit knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Elk Grove likes a good challenge. Cosumnes Oaks won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Edison at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Edison is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.9 points per game.
