Meanwhile, Shawnee had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over St. Henry on Monday.
Shawnee also got a great performance from Landon Gallegos as he kept things locked down with no earned run or hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched.
