Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Union). They took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 73-33 victory over the Northwestern Warriors. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Warriors are ranked 672nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwestern's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lilly Bushey, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and five assists, and Peyton Roseberry, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points and six boards. That was a full 39.4% of Northwestern's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

The win made it two in a row for North Union and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Northwestern, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

North Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-43 victory against Indian Lake on the 21st. As for Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-19 loss against Graham Local on the 21st.
