Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grandview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Holtman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Holtman scored 15 or more points. Breven Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Despite the loss, Cherokee Trail had strong showings from Braylen Thomas, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds, and Amari Chandler, who scored six points along with five steals and two blocks. Grandview's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Cherokee Trail, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Grandview will look to defend their home court on Friday against Arapahoe at 7:00 p.m. Arapahoe and Grandview are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Cherokee Trail, they will head out on the road to take on Smoky Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Smoky Hill's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
