The Moriah Vikings put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 51-41 win over Northeastern Clinton. 51 seems to be a good number for Moriah as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Moriah's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Allen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Joe Pelkey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Northeastern Clinton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cyle Marshall, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Brown, who scored 11 points.
Moriah's win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Northeastern Clinton, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Moriah will head out on the road to challenge Lake George at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake George will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Moriah is ranked 90th). As for Northeastern Clinton, they will be playing at home against Seton Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
