The Taylor County Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Jefferson County 85-67. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Taylor County considering their zero-point performance the match before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taylor County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Louis Gaddy Jr., who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds. The match was Gaddy Jr.'s fifth in a row with at least ten points. Allen Collier was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Taylor County's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Jefferson County, they bumped their record down to 1-4-1 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor County will be home for the holidays to greet Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Madison County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. Jefferson County will be home for the holidays to greet Crossroad Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crossroad Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jefferson County in Florida (Crossroad Academy is ranked 227th, while Jefferson County is ranked 689th).
