Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lakeland Vikings, falling 8-2. One positive for the Bears, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Butler will host El Dorado Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeland, they have already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Osceola on the 28th.
