The Cambridge Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Patrick. Cambridge has not had much luck with the Irish recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Brady Ahlemeyer and Carson Trompke certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Ahlemeyer scored 12 points along with four steals, while Trompke scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Maverick Webb, who scored six points.
Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for St. Patrick's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge will take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Arapahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. As for St. Patrick's, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers on Tuesday. Dundy County-Stratton is on a six-game streak of home wins, the Irish a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
