The Taft Greyhounds entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. Taft took their  match at home  on Tuesday with ease, bagging a  80-20 victory over Varsity Opponent. For Taft, this counts as revenge for the   74-73 defeat Varsity Opponent walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in November.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taft to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jordan Villalobos, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 11  rebounds. The  matchup was  Villalobos' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gilbert Hinojosa, who  scored 19 points along with five  rebounds.
 Taft's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Varsity Opponent, they are  on a seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 177-665-6.
 Taft will head out on the road to face off against Banquete at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Banquete is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Varsity Opponent will be home for the holidays to greet  Anthem Prep at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Anthem Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 437 points over their last six matches.
