The Georgia Military College Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 49-37 to Twiggs County. Georgia Military College was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Twiggs County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Georgia Military College's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Josh Walker, who scored 13 points, and Logan Mcmillan who scored 12 points.
It was another big night for Tykerrion Williams, who scored 17 points for Twiggs County. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Twiggs County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Armarion Downing, who scored 11 points.
Georgia Military College's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Twiggs County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgia Military College the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hancock Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hancock Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Georgia Military College likes a good challenge. As for Twiggs County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Glascock County at 7:30 p.m. Glascock County is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
