After flying high against the Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus Tigers on Friday, the West Adams Panthers came back down to earth. West Adams suffered a tough 56-30 loss at the hands of Animo Robinson on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Adams has scored all season.
Animo Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deandre Kirkpatrick led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kirkpatrick has scored at least 25% of Animo Robinson's points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Cruz, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
West Adams has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Animo Robinson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
West Adams won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against University Prep Value at 3:00 p.m. on December 19th. University Prep Value will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Animo Robinson will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Hollywood at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
