Columbia Academy won the last time they faced Middle Tennessee Monarchs and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs never let Middle Tennessee Monarchs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by eight runs or more this season.

Jackson Lee looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jacob Woodward, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Will Rhodes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Columbia Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middle Tennessee Monarchs only posted an OBP of .067.

The victory made it two in a row for Columbia Academy and bumps their season record up to 19-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Middle Tennessee Monarchs, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-15 record.
