In what's become a running theme this season, New Bern Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by Christ Covenant at home to the tune of 80-53. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point New Bern Christian Academy had established a 21 point advantage.
New Bern Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was KC Peter out in front who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Micah Coghill was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Noah Stein and JD Dill certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Stein scored 17 points along with five steals, while Dill scored 22 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jakob Ange, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
New Bern Christian Academy pushed their record up to 18-8 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Christ Covenant, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
New Bern Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ Covenant at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Christ Covenant, they will head out on the road to take on Faith Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Christ Covenant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
