The South Hills Huskies earned  a  6-2 win over the Beaumont Cougars  on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by  exactly four  runs.
 Abigail Quintero and  Parker Milton dominated on the mound. Quintero  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit, while  Milton  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. What's more,  Quintero gave up only zero  walks, the fewest she's  had since back in April of 2024.
 At the plate,  Mikayla Sta. Ana was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayden Garcia, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run.
 South Hills  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most three  strikeouts in five consecutive  matchups.
South Hills is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Beaumont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
 Coming up, South Hills will venture away from home to  take on Los Altos  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (South Hills 3.2, Los Altos 2.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Beaumont, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Upland  at 3:15  p.m.
