If the Northwest Yeshiva Lions were riding high off their 62-10 takedown of the Summit Classical Christian School Archers on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northwest Yeshiva fell 47-40 to Cedar Park Christian on Saturday. Northwest Yeshiva was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cedar Park Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.
Despite the loss, Northwest Yeshiva still got an impressive performance from Paulina Gamel, who scored 21 points. Gamel scored a full 52.5% of Northwest Yeshiva's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Keira Birk was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Northwest Yeshiva's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cedar Park Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Northwest Yeshiva will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sound Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Cedar Park Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
