After flying high against the Moravian Academy Lions last Thursday, the Palmerton Blue Bombers came back down to earth. Palmerton took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saucon Valley on Saturday. Palmerton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Saucon Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saucon Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Grim, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Weiss, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Palmerton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Saucon Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmerton will take on Palisades at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Palisades comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Saucon Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Northern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
