After flying high against Berean Christian  last Thursday, King's Academy came back down to earth. The King's Academy Lions fell  67-60 to the Centennial Eagles on Friday. The  game was a  27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.
When it comes to explaining why King's Academy lost, don't look at  Javian Jones. Despite the final result, he  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and ten  rebounds. King's Academy is 13-4 when  Jones posts eight or  more  boards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Matt Mcpherson, who  posted 14  points and seven  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, King's Academy was working as a unit and  finished the game with 18  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only racked up eight  assists.
 Centennial got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Felix Buroz out in front who  went 6 for 15  on his way to 20 points and seven  boards. Buroz is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's  played.  Jeremy Felix was another key player,  going 7 of 14  en route to 20  points and five  rebounds.

The  defeat snapped King's Academy's winning streak at six games  and leaves them with a 14-6 record. As for Centennial, their win was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-7.
 King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centennial, they will head out to  challenge Jupiter  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Centennial knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Jupiter likes a good challenge.
