North Johnston had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Harnett Central Trojans. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Daniel Turner looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, North Johnston let Maurice Love and Zach Peacock run wild. Love went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles, while Peacock scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three RBI gave Love a new career-high.

North Johnston's record is now 7-3. As for Harnett Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

North Johnston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 34-0 win against Eastern Wayne on the 27th. As for Harnett Central, they will venture away from home to take on Terry Sanford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
