For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times John Carroll and Loyola Blakefield have met, but the home crowd finally got their W  on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Dons by a score of  12-8.
 Kiernan Deremeik looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits.

 Loyola Blakefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for John Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5-2.
