The Capital Golden Eagles are still winless after their matchup against the Ridgevue Warhawks on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Capital fell just short of Ridgevue by a score of 52-50. Capital was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ridgevue apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Ridgevue's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacotah Thomas, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was McKenna Durrant, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ridgevue, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Capital will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Borah at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Ridgevue, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
