The Bloomfield Bombers will venture away from home to  challenge the Geneseo Blue Devils  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bloomfield comes in on three and Geneseo on 14.
Bloomfield proved they can win big  on Thursday (they won by eight) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Pembroke  7-6.

 Morgan McLaughlin made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kevin Dredger, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.  Kyle Dredger was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 Seven must be Geneseo's lucky number: they beat Notre Dame Academy with that score not once but twice  on Sunday. The Blue Devils beat the Gators by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  7-6.
 Geneseo's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 18-4. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Bloomfield, their record now sits at 13-4.
 Bloomfield took their  victory against Geneseo  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  18-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
