Baseball Recap: Southern Fulton Beats Rockwood for Their Third Straight Win

Southern Fulton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rockwood Rockets a 12-0 shutout. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by eight runs or more this season.

Colt Mann was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Schriever, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple.

Southern Fulton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockwood only posted an OBP of .263.

Southern Fulton's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Rockwood, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Fulton will venture away from home to challenge Southern Huntingdon County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Rockwood, they will take on Everett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
