The Jordan Falcons will square off against the Pine Forest Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Pine Forest likes a good challenge.
Last Saturday, Jordan beat Chapel Hill 59-46. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Tigers are ranked 94th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Lowe, who en route to 19 points and five boards. Lowe's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rivers Knight, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds.
Jordan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 6 offensive boards per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 12.4.
Meanwhile, Pine Forest suffered their closest defeat since December 6, 2024 last Monday. They fell just short of Overhills by a score of 61-58.
Jordan will have to keep a close watch on Christian Baynes and Angelo Jones, a pair of players who had a big impact on Pine Forest's prior game. Baynes almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards, while Jones dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Tubbs, who posted ten points and six boards.
Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points over those games. Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Jordan has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.9% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Pine Forest, though, as they've only made 25.1% of their threes this season. Given Jordan's sizable advantage in that area, Pine Forest will need to find a way to close that gap. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
