There's no place like home for the M.L. King Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 61-52 win over Lithonia on Tuesday. Given M.L. King's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Lithonia is ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead M.L. King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr., who scored 22 points along with three steals. Ruzvidzo jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Devin Bowers was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
M.L. King has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. As for Lithonia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
M.L. King will head out on the road to take on Arabia Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lithonia, they will be playing at home against Chamblee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chamblee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
