Orangeburg Prep made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Calhoun Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Indians put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 8-1 win on Thursday. Considering the Indians have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Charlie McCutchen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Orangeburg Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Calhoun Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Coming up, Orangeburg Prep will be playing at home against St. John's Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calhoun Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
