The Seattle Prep Panthers waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Roosevelt 52-33. This was payback for Seattle Prep, who suffered a 58-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Several Roughriders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasmine Hall, who scored nine points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Ava Dorling, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Seattle Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Roosevelt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Seattle Prep will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bishop Blanchet at 5:45 p.m. Bishop Blanchet will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Seattle Prep is ranked 50th). Roosevelt will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Bethel at 2:00 p.m. on January 15th.
